Hi! Thanks for your comment 🙂 Yes, you could use a pencil, though your pieces would not be very defined. If you don’t have a tool it’s better to use a toothpick so that the center of your piece is smaller. I started quilling with a toothpick when I was 10 years old, before I got a quilling tool.
