Quillspiration – Paper Quilling Valentine’s Day Designs

Happy Valentine’s Day!

My memories of Valentine’s Day are mostly about town decorations, school parties, and heart shaped cookies.  And of course clearance candy after the holiday!  Personally I was never in a relationship that put much emphasis at all on the day.  My husband gave me a card once, and that was, oh, maybe 16 years ago, before we were married.  But that’s okay, it’s more about the daily things, not the “one day”, you know?  This year my daughter wants to make some heart shaped cookies, so we just might do that.

However, that doesn’t mean I don’t like a beautiful love themed quilling design!  I’m all about spreading the love throughout the year. And since most of the world gives a bit extra focus on love during this special holiday, I thought it was a good time for a Quillspiration roundup of paper quilling Valentine’s Day designs!

So enjoy the roundup and let me know which ones are your favorite and whether you did any Valentine’s Day related quilling this year!

I have to start with this amazing stamp design – here is Yulia Brodskaya helping to get quilling into the mainstream once again!  Ann Martin has the scoop on this stamp here on her blog.
This beautiful typography framed piece was made by Greg – you can find it here in his Etsy shop.

This gorgeous heart framed piece looks like it was made from wider paper, which gives it a wonderful sense of depth.  It is made by Senaruna and can be found her in her Etsy shop.

Here is just one of the many amazingly gorgeous quilling creations by Larisa.  Find it here in her Etsy shop.

I love Victoria’s work and these adorable and beautiful heart earrings are no exception!  Find them here in her Etsy shop.

Here is a free tutorial from Ann Martin for this elegant heart pendant.  I love the way it looks when she layers the gold or silver edged papers together to make a thicker piece.

Want to make something yourself?  Here is a tutorial for a lovely heart in the unique style of Cecelia Louie from Paper Zen.  Find the tutorial here in her Etsy shop.

The red and black shades of this design really make it stand out.  This was made by Suganthi from Daydreams.

Simple yet sweet!  This card is one of many from Iza from Quilling Wonderland.

I love the use of different quilling techniques in this piece!  There is a tutorial here which is in Vietnamese, but can be translated by google.

Here is a heart pendant that I created. Find the tutorial here.

If you haven’t, be sure to check out my rose tutorial here on the blog.  You can use these for cards, jewelry, and more. I also have a tutorial for making different sized roses, and teeny tiny roses.

  • Very nice post. I love it when you include some personal touches among the lovely work you have found. I was also very excited to see that new stamp and I cannot wait to get my hands on some! Happy Valentine's Day! <3

    • Same to you! Do they have the stamps for sale in the post office yet? I'll have to ask my mom and make sure she gets some when she next buys stamps. Prettiest stamp ever!

  • Thanks so much for this nice round up, Honey. I bought a sheet of heart stamps at my local post office today and was told it was the very last one they had in stock. Hopefully they'll get more... I remember reading 150 million have been printed!

  • Thanks so much for this wonderful post, Honey. And thank you for including my item Love tree. Happy Valentine’s Day! :)
