I am happy to introduce my latest design collection, owls!!  I have been wanting to make paper quilled owls for a couple years, but it never came to the top of my priority list.  A couple months ago I finally resolved to find some time to make them, and I did.  I had a lot of fun creating the new patterns!  I have more colors than are pictured here, but I still need to take photographs of some of them.  But I didn’t want to delay sharing these cuties any longer, so here they are!

First up is the simple owl.  This can be used as earrings or a pendant.  Here I have made two different colored pendants:

The first design I actually came up with is this following oval owl design, which I made in three sizes: large, medium, and small.

this medium size is great for both earrings and pendants

aren’t these small ones just too adorable?

The first set combines small earrings with a medium pendant. The second set combines medium earrings with a large pendant.

Next I created this feathery owl design, as I wanted a design that looked a bit more realistic vs. the cute oval owl above.

Lastly I created the double owl, for a different look.  I haven’t listed these on etsy yet because I want to take better photos before putting them up.  The first is a brown owl and the second is a snowy owl, inspired by Harry Potter of course 😉

When I finished taking photos of the rest of my owls I’ll do another post sharing the different colors.  It’s so fun thinking of color combos for owls.  They can be realistic, or they can be very cartoonish and fun, it all depends on the colors!

If you are interested in trying your hand at making these owl earrings yourself, I have created a tutorial!
